How do I know which Biodynamic Balance Insert level is right for me?

There are 3 levels of inserts provided with each pair Superthotics that correct for different levels of pronation in your feet. To determine which is best for you, try out each of the levels and see which feels the most comfortable initially. If unsure, start with the lowest level (Low) and then move to Level 2 (Medium) and Level 3 (High) to see how they feel. Always wear the level that feels the most comfortable. Never use the orthotic without a Biodynamic Balance Insert installed and never use with 2 different levels of inserts installed (i.e. one level in the one foot, and a different level in the other foot), unless otherwise instructed by your podiatrist.

How does your sizing work?

You simply pick the gender (men’s or women’s) and size of whatever shoe size you normally wear. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up to the next size range. Please note Superthotics is based off of US sizing. If you are an international backer, we have included a sizing chart on our campaign page with conversions. Please send us a message, if you have any questions about your specific sizing needs.

Does Superthotics work in all shoes (including heeled shoes)?

Superthotics works with most shoe types where the orthotic can be enclosed, including certain heeled shoes. As you can see from the testimonial in our campaign video, the flight attendant would wear Superthotics in her heeled shoes all day for her job. However, Superthotics will not work well in open sandals, high-heeled stilettos, or any other open shoe similar to those, where they cannot be secured in place.

What is your return policy?

The support we get from our Kickstarter backers is what enables us to launch and grow our business and support our mission to relieve pain for as many people as possible with Superthotics. In the Kickstarter community, the items that you receive after making a pledge are referred to as “rewards” because they are not purchases in the traditional sense. They are gifts that are sent to our supporters as a token of appreciation for supporting our business in its early stages. In addition, the pledge may be discounted to the product’s future retail selling price. For this reason, Superthotics are not refundable or returnable.

We appreciate your understanding of our policy and the support you have given us. We are confident that our product will work for you, especially because our patented biodynamic balance inserts can be customized to your specific foot. That said we do understand that Superthotics may not be the perfect solution for everyone. So if you feel your reward isn’t valuable to you, here are a couple of things that you could do in the spirit of crowdfunding:

  1. Give your reward another chance. For most people, they will feel the relief instantly when they slip Superthotics into their shoes and bring their body into alignment. But if you’re not used to having any kind of insert in your shoes, or you’ve only experienced the flimsy gel or foam inserts that you find at the drugstore, custom orthotics can take a little getting used to at first. You’ll also want to make sure you are choosing the right level (Low, Medium, High) for your Biodynamic Balance Inserts to provide you with the best support for your degree of fallen arches (or pronation) to deliver you the most relief and comfort.

  2. Give your reward to a friend. Our product might not be right for you, but there are many folks out there who might find it the perfect solution to relieve pain throughout their body.

What is your exchange policy?

We want to ensure that you find the right size for you, so we will offer size exchanges. If you end up needing an exchange, however, we will need to charge for the shipping both ways as we are a new company with limited resources that would make free exchanges difficult, at this time. We appreciate your understanding on this. As always, we will try our best to negotiate the safest and most economical shipping option with the courier for you. All exchange requests must be submitted within 14 days of receiving your Kickstarter reward.

Will Superthotics work for flat feet?

Yes. If you have flat feet, you need proper arch support, which is one of Superthotics’ main features. In addition to using our customizable Biodynamic Balance Inserts to keep your arches from collapsing in, Superthotics’ durable arch also provides excellent structure and support.

How long will my Superthotics last?

While everyone’s frequency of usage may be different, Superthotics isn’t like those flimsy drugstore inserts. Superthotics is precision-molded with the same type of high-tech polymers as costly prescription orthotics, so it is designed to last for many years of support and comfort.

Are Superthotics easy to use?

You bet. You just insert the height you want for your Biodynamic Balance Inserts, slip your Superthotics into your shoes and start walking. It’s that easy.

Take it from Danielle, one of our early testers of Superthotics’ final prototypes. She’s a bartender who is on her feet for a good 8-10 hours per day and experienced pain starting from her feet and radiating all the way up to her back. Since she started using Superthotics, she said, “Feet pain? Gone. Arch pain? Gone. My ankle feels so much better–my back has never felt so good. And they’re super easy! They slip into your shoes, they’re adjustable per what your arch type is, and honestly, I am so grateful for them, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.”

If I order the 2 pair or 4 pair bundle, can I order different sizes of Superthotics?

Absolutely! If you pledged for the 2 or 4 pair reward bundles, you can absolutely order different sizes. You will choose which sizes you want, as well as provide where you would like them shipped, when you receive your Backer survey.

If I order more than one pair of Superthotics, will it come with its own set of Biodynamic Balance Inserts?

Absolutely! Each pair of Superthotics comes with its own set of low, medium and high Biodynamic Balance Inserts for each foot. That means you will get a set of low, medium and high inserts for your right foot and a set for your left foot.

Do you have sizes available for children or juniors?

We only make sizes for adults at this time. As parents know, the feet of children and juniors grow extremely quickly! Superthotics is recommended for adults whose feet have stopped growing.

Where do you ship and what are the costs?

We are shipping Superthotics worldwide. Shipping costs for the U.S. is $5 per order, while all international shipping is $15.

When can I expect to receive my Superthotics?

Our delivery date is August 2019. We will keep our backers updated about the production progress and when shipments go out. If we can ship sooner than August, we will.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
